Pick Great Keywords with Help of This Tool

Here's a keyword tool from none other than Microsoft that will give you the same kind of data you get from Google Trends. It's called the adCenter Labs Keyword Forecast tool.

There are major differences between this Microsoft offering and Google Trends. First, the data used by MS (right now anyway) seems to be at least 6 months old. Google Trends gives you a more current trend line, but no actual search numbers. So you aren't given any idea how many searches are done for specific terms.

The MS tool will also let you graph two or three search terms together so you get an idea of the relative number of searches done for those terms.

Both Google Trends and MS Keyword Forecast have their uses so combining them to get more accurate picture is, at least in my opinion, very good idea.

I still think the updated Google Adword keyword tool is great. Although it's not as pretty looking as the MS tool there or the Google trends but the Adwords tool gives you actual numbered data.
