I'm surprised at how uninterested I am in the introduction Tuesday of Google Chrome, their new browser and IE killer.

As they have done with Firefox, many web geeks will praise it, if for no other reason than it promises to be yet another assault on the Microsoft empire.

I can't figure this out. All MS wants to do is make billions of dollars. Google, on the other hand, wants to control as much information about people as they can.

Plus they have the typical egghead's condescending we're-doing-this-for-your-own-good attitude.

Where's the bigger threat?
