What's with these big "product launches" put on by internet marketers? Aren't you getting sick of being bombarded by emails from the same bunch of "gurus" who try to milk their subscribers - to get us to buy another product we don't need.
Today it's Ryan Deiss. Yes, I know he's got some interesting ideas. But do you really have time to read another ebook (or whatever it is he's selling.)
Affiliate marketers try to convince us that product launches are about putting exciting new products into our hands. But the truth is, it's all about putting money in their pockets. Many affiliate marketers never look at the products they are hocking.
An IM product launch is a way for marketers to stimulate interest and encourage impulse buying. And encouraging impulse buying is a way to exploit consumer weakness and ignorance.
Why is it so important to get these new products NOW? Are they going to run out of them? Will delaying my purchase a day or a week or a month result in me losing some kind of competitive advantage?
I don't think so. Product launches, like affiliate marketing in general, are just manipulative techniques used in the big pyramid scheme known as internet marketing.
