Whenever you find machinery mist in an industrial environment, a high efficiency mist collector is usually required. A mist collector will keep both machines and people safe from harmful mist floating in the air in the work area.

A mist collector usually works by drawing the dangerous mist-laden air through an input opening. The mist-laden air then strikes centrifugal fan blades in a process called impaction. Sub-micron particles gather until they collect and gradually grow to droplet size. When they are sufficiently large they are thrown by centrigual force against the inner wall of the casing.

This liquid oil drawn from the air is then driven by high velocity air through a circumferential slot into a collection chamber. Meanwhile the clean air - now free of oil - is returned to the plant environment through the exhaust grill. The clean recycled oil drawn out of the air drains from the unit for reuse or disposal.
